"August 9th, 1952 - February 8th, 2023 John Leo Meylor II passed away February 8th at the age of 70 after a year long fight with kidney cancer. John was born in Long Beach on August 9th, 1952 to Jack and Rose Marie Meylor. He had an idyllic childhood that included Indian Guides, lots of camping and fishing, and playing bass guitar with his childhood friends. Growing up, he was very active in Long Beach Ski Club and he was a regular with the surfers at Seal Beach."
